ABOUT

Harleys is a late-night drinking spot for locals, gig-goers, and musos in the making.  We are the home of live music, comfort food, cocktails, hard liquor, and a newly renovated beer garden.

Inspired by rockers and bikers, our pub is a meeting spot for locals and music lovers alike, offering a solid selection of beer, wine & spirits. Open until 2.30am, we host an exciting calendar full of live bands, acoustic acts, regular quizzes, and late-night parties. With the odd beer pong war thrown in for good measure!

Situated in the centre of town, Harleys has always been a unique venue to Ayr with our intimate stage, unique americana themed décor, comfort food kitchen and vast collection of liquor. Whether you are a first-time visitor, or a returning regular, a warm welcome is always guaranteed.

Harleys has moved with the times and welcomes all walks of life from any age.

HISTORY

Our wee pub has a rich history and we owe it to the bars and families before us that have helped create the music scene and Harleys itself.

First launched as a bar in the early 80’s named ‘Bogarts,’ it wasn’t until Tom Jones in the mid 80’s took over the bar and sister venue nightclub, re-naming it ‘Jonesy’s’ and ‘Powerhouse,’ that the rock movement was really born and helped Harleys become who we are today. The after venue of the once iconic ‘Pavilion,’ Harleys is no stranger to the hustle of the after-gig goers and the biker-group community.

Throughout the years Harleys has catered for numerous names, big and small. We have had the privilege of hosting icons such as Ocean Colour Scene, Gun and Ian Hunter (from Mott the Hoople), The Party Boys, Nazareth and Wolfstone along with new age bands such as Neon Waltz, Anna Sweeney, VanIves and Fauves.

Harleys has, and always will, maintain a diverse music policy. From cutting edge new wave groups to iconic renowned Ayrshire cover bands, live music is always at the core of our pub and we are proud to be a Grassroots venue - providing a home for the local artist and promoter.
